Text Alerts

Workflows can text you when they need attention, with the Notify Via SMS step. A workflow can text you only after you opt in yourself.

Turn On Text Alerts

1. Open the user menu in the upper-right corner and choose Text alerts.
2. Enter your US mobile number.
3. Check I agree to receive PlaidCloud workflow text alerts at this number. Read the disclosures above it, and the SMS Terms and SMS Privacy Policy links.
4. Click Send code. PlaidCloud texts a 6-digit code to your number. Texts can take a minute or two to arrive.
5. Enter the Confirmation code within 10 minutes and click Confirm.

After you send a code, the button counts down for 60 seconds, then reads Resend code. Resending while your code is still valid texts the same code, so whichever text arrives works. You can request 3 codes per phone number per day and 3 per person per hour.

The window then reads Text alerts are on for your masked number. Only US mobile numbers are supported. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Turn Off Text Alerts

Open Text alerts and click Stop text alerts, or reply STOP to any text. Reply HELP for help.

Turn Them Back On After STOP

Replying STOP blocks every text to your number. Text START to the alert number shown in the window, then send a new code and confirm it.

If Something Goes Wrong

Message	What to do
That code is not right	Check the text and enter the code again.
That code has expired	Click Send code for a new one.
Too many wrong codes	After 5 wrong codes, click Send code for a new one.
Enter a valid US mobile number	Use a 10-digit US mobile number.
Too many requests	You reached a code limit. Wait a few minutes and try again.
Text alerts are not available for your workspace right now	Try again later.
